1. What this is
Jackpot Hour runs promotional prize draws for holders of coins launched through Jackpot Hour on pump.fun. Each coin has its own hourly draw; a weekly Mega Draw runs across every coin. Prizes are funded entirely by the creator fees of those coins. No purchase is necessary to enter or win, and entering by purchase does not improve the odds of a free entry.
Jackpot Hour is not affiliated with pump.fun, Solana Labs or the Solana Foundation. Nothing here is financial advice and nothing is promised: a pot can be small, can roll over, and coins can go to zero.
2. Eligibility
- Open to individuals who are 18 or older (or the age of majority where they live, if higher) and for whom taking part is lawful where they live.
- Void where prohibited or restricted by law. You are responsible for knowing whether you may take part.
- Each wallet is a separate entrant. Entries are counted per wallet as described below.
- Excluded wallets (section 8) are never in a draw.
3. Holding entries and weights
Each draw window (the hour) runs from the top of one UTC hour to the next. At every hour boundary Jackpot Hour takes a snapshot of every wallet balance of the coin.
- Your held-through balance for an hour is the smaller of your balance at the hour start and at the hour end. Anything you sold during the hour does not count; anything you bought after the start counts from the next hour.
- You are entered when your held-through balance is at least 0.01% of the coin's supply at both snapshots.
- Your weight is the square root of the held-through balance (in token base units, rounded down). A bag 100 times bigger has 10 times the weight, so large holders have better odds but never take every draw.
- Your chance of winning is your weight divided by the total weight of the draw.
4. Free entry (no purchase necessary)
Any signed-in wallet may claim one free entry per coin per UTC day, at no cost, on the coin's page or on My entries. A free entry is placed in that coin's draw that is open when you claim it.
- A free entry carries the weight of the minimum holding entry: the square root of 0.01% of the coin's supply.
- If you also hold the coin, the free entry weight is added to your holding weight.
- Signing in is a free message signature in your wallet; it moves no funds and costs no fees.
- For the Mega Draw, any signed-in wallet may claim one free Mega entry per week with the same minimum weight.
5. The draw method
- Commit. When an hour opens, the server picks a secret 32-byte seed and publishes its sha256 (the commitment) and a target Solana slot: the estimated first slot after the hour end, plus 32.
- Close. At the hour end the closing snapshot fixes every entry. The entry list, sorted by wallet, and its Merkle root (each leaf sha256("wallet:weight")) are published with the total weight.
- Randomness. Once the target slot is produced, randomness = sha256(seed || blockhash of the target slot || coin mint || hour id), where seed, blockhash and mint are their raw 32 bytes and the hour id is UTF-8 (for example 2026-10-27T14:00:00Z). If the target slot was skipped, the first produced block after it is used.
- Pick. ticket = randomness (a 256-bit number) mod total weight. Walking the sorted list and adding weights, the first entry whose running total is greater than the ticket wins.
The seed is revealed with the result. Neither Jackpot Hour nor anyone else can know the blockhash when the seed is committed.
6. Verification
Every draw page shows the commitment, the revealed seed, the target slot and blockhash, the coin mint, the hour id, the full entry list, its Merkle root, the randomness, the ticket and the winner. The Verify button recomputes every step in your browser. Signed-in entrants also see the Merkle proof of their own entry. The method is open: anyone can reproduce it with any sha256 tool.
7. Prizes, funding and rollover
- Each coin's creator fees are split on chain at launch: at least 40% (60% by default) to the coin's prize pot, 5% to the weekly Mega Draw pot, 10% to Jackpot Hour and the rest to the creator.
- The pot counted for a draw is its spendable balance at the hour end: the vault balance minus a 0.01 SOL reserve that always stays for rent and fees, minus prizes already drawn but not yet paid.
- When that pot is at least 0.05 SOL and there is at least one entry, the prize is 50% of the pot, capped at 5 SOL. The rest stays in the pot for the next hour.
- When the pot is under 0.05 SOL, or nobody is entered, there is no draw: the pot rolls over in full to the next hour.
- Mega Draw: every Sunday at 20:00 UTC. A wallet's Mega weight is the sum, over every coin, of the square root of the smallest balance it held at every hourly snapshot of the week (when that is at least 0.01% of supply), plus any free Mega entry. The prize is 50% of the Mega pot, capped at 25 SOL; under 0.05 SOL it rolls over to the next week.
- Prizes are paid in SOL. No cash alternative and no substitution. Any taxes are the winner's responsibility.
8. Exclusions
- The coin's creator wallet and any dev wallets the creator declared.
- Bonding curve and liquidity pool accounts, and any account owned by a program (off-curve addresses).
- Every Jackpot Hour vault (prize pots, the Mega vault), the Jackpot Hour treasury and operator wallets.
- Excluded wallets cannot claim free entries either. A coin whose creator later cuts the pot's fee share is marked unaligned on every page.
9. Payout timing
- The prize is sent from the coin's pot vault (or the Mega vault) to the winning wallet in one Solana transaction carrying the memo jackpothour:v1:prize:<draw id>.
- On mainnet, an operator checks each prize and its proof before it is sent (usually within minutes). If the vault is short at that moment, the payout waits for the next fees.
- A payout is idempotent: a prize is never paid twice, even after a retry.
10. Void conditions
- If the closing snapshot of an hour cannot be taken within 10 minutes of the hour end, that draw is void and the whole pot carries to the next hour.
- A prize may be withheld (and returned to the pot for future draws) if the winning wallet is found to be excluded, if the draw was affected by an error, fraud or a technical failure, or if paying it would be unlawful. Every withheld prize is shown publicly with its reason.
- Jackpot Hour may suspend draws and payouts (a public kill switch) if a security issue is suspected; pots keep their SOL until draws resume.
11. Custody and limits
In this version each pot is a vault held by the Jackpot Hour keeper: one encrypted key per coin, transactions limited to prize payouts and fee sweeps, every transaction public on Solana. pump.fun lets a coin's creator edit fee shares after launch; Jackpot Hour cannot stop that, it can only detect and show it.
12. General
By entering you accept these rules. Void where prohibited. 18+. These rules may be updated; the version on this page at the start of an hour applies to that hour. Not financial advice.
