1. Launch
A creator launches a normal pump.fun coin from their own wallet. Jackpot Hour builds two transactions the creator signs: the pump.fun create (with an optional dev buy) and the fee sharing setup with a small pot seed. Jackpot Hour never holds the creator's keys.
The pot share can be raised by the creator and never goes under 40%. Launch fee on mainnet: 0.03 SOL.
2. Fees fill the pot
Every trade on pump.fun pays creator fees. A keeper sweeps them to the shareholders every few minutes; the pot's share lands in the coin's pot vault and the 5% Mega share in the Mega vault. Every sweep is a public transaction and is listed on the coin page.

3. Hold through the hour
At every UTC hour boundary Jackpot Hour snapshots all balances. Your entry for an hour is the smaller of your balance at its start and its end, if that is at least 0.01% of supply. Your weight is the square root of it, so a bigger bag counts for more but never for everything.
No purchase necessary: any signed-in wallet can claim one free entry per coin per day, with the weight of the minimum holding entry. See free entry.
4. Provably fair draw
At the hour start the server commits to sha256 of a secret seed and to a future Solana slot. At the hour end the entries are frozen and published with their Merkle root. Once the slot is produced, randomness = sha256(seed || blockhash || mint || hour id); randomness mod total weight picks the winner from the sorted list.
Each draw page has a Verify button that redoes all of it in your browser.

5. The prize
When the spendable pot is at least 0.05 SOL at the hour end, the winner gets 50% of it, capped at 5 SOL; the rest carries. Below that, the pot rolls over. The prize is sent in SOL from the pot vault with the memo jackpothour:v1:prize:<draw id>, after an operator checks the proof.
6. The Mega Draw
Every Sunday at 20:00 UTC. Weights add up across coins for wallets that held through the whole week; the prize is half of the Mega pot, capped at 25 SOL. See the Mega Draw.
7. Custody and honest limits
- In v1 each pot is a vault held by the Jackpot Hour keeper: one encrypted key per coin, keeper transactions limited to prize payouts and fee sweeps, all public.
- pump.fun lets a creator edit fee shares after launch. A watcher re-checks every few minutes and marks a coin unaligned everywhere if its pot share is cut.
- The server picks the seed, but it is committed before the blockhash exists, so it cannot steer the result; withholding a reveal would be visible on the draw page.
- Prizes depend on trading volume. A quiet coin can roll over for many hours. Nothing is promised.
